Everyone makes a judgment at first sight. However, such judgment at first sight is not only incomplete, it can often be very incorrect too. Someone looks like a quiet guy at first sight but later turns out to actually garrulous. Such experiences teach us not to rely too much on the first impression and test it out subsequently.
After a number of interactions, our mind starts relying on whatever is the judgment at that stage and any further change becomes rather difficult or can only happen through some weighty events.
Having said that, I must quickly add that not all are quite like that - there are some who make firmer judgment on first sight itself and stick to the first impression quite strongly. Such people are bound to err in their dealings with people, especially with the opposite sex.

Expression is the source to judge a person. It isn't necessary that a persons appearance always reflects his/her personality. First see if the person is good or bad & then try to know him /her.
A simple question can explain this. Smiling people ars in general good & friendly but this does not ork with chaploos shopkeepers.

It's easy to make snap judgments: just do it! And it's a normal part of identification and perfectly ok; in fact, essential. How do we approach a person when we have no pre-disposition as to who he/she is so we can get better acquainted? What's more important is our ability to change the opinion as we distinguish between the facade and the real person.
Somebody who looks me straight in the eyes is likely to be confident, and I assume he/she is. But I'm also willing to adjust when I watch behavior, and I've had to make that adjustment more often than not. (So my snap judgments are often flawed.)

True, it is very difficult to judge, and even after lots of 'seeing' too, the nature, character keeps changing and thus prevents total accuracy in complete judgement !

Just smile at him or her if person smiles spontaneously he/she is emotional person. They also can spontaneously cry or laugh depending on situation. They react to situation spontaneously with emotions. This does not mean others are not emotional, others use mind first and their thought starts
why should I smile?
I don't know him!
Does he has some motive in smiling at me?
and so on and on.
They miss the smile.
You can be friendly with emotional people easily, but they also get hurt as easily.
