...just because you can't STAND Ty Pennington yelling all the time? How many people's hearing has he damaged, yelling into their ears with the megaphone? (Shut up, Ty, we're sick of it. It's not cute, it's not funny, it's just really, really annoying.) I would otherwise watch the show!

Wow, iswd, I really opened a can o'worms with this question. I was in retail for many years, and every retail job is horrible; employees are always treated badly. But I see what you mean! Don't think Sears doesn't get a tax write off on all that stuff they donate, too!

We watch it without fail, and they have rebuilt lots of people's lives. I do wish they could scale down their homes and maybe build more homes for more families.
And don't laugh, but my first thought as we all go insde the new home, is "I'm sure glad I'm not cleaning this place!"

I have a problem with the show.

I used to work for Sears. For a number of years in fact.

Sears keeps a majority of their employees at or below 20 hours a week in order to avoid paying them any type of benefits. I had the highest sales in the appliance department, many times in a row. Yet, they never offered me advancement.

They treat their employees with absolute disdain and with complete disregard to them employees situations due to part time status. It is impossible to get another job and keep that one because you have to have full availability 9 am - 10 pm, Mon - Sunday.

Sears has a long history of trying to portray themselves as a humane and caring company when that is as far from the truth as one can get. They spend millions upon millions in advertising, giving away money like for this show, and trying to put on the best face they can for the public while treating their employees no better than dogs.

No, this show was good until it became one giant advertisement for Sears. Regardless of ty or how he acts, I still enjoyed it before that.

First of all, the show is absolutely great. Ty is who he is and no one can do anything about that. He is also a genius when it comes to giving families the kind of home they need. You people should not be so selfish and self absorbed. Those families out there need something to take their minds off of their reality and if Ty and the gang can do that, then so be it. Don't be mad because you can't have a great house like he gives those families. I hope that show stays on as long as "The Price is Right" People need something to remind them that there truely is good in this world. GOD bless Ty and his show.

Isn't it on the same time as The Amazing Race? I'd rather watch that.

Phil Keogan is cute, and that muddled accent makes him even sexier! :-) And I love watching the teams go to all those exotic locales.

I'd rather see TAR and teams bickering amongst each other/working together than Ty screaming his lungs out through that bloody megaphone!

Yeah, I stopped watching because the "makeover" used to be a home improvement, but is now "tear down the house and build a new one." The megaphone got old, too.

Well you know I use to enjoy the show but I haven't watched it this season at all. I do get sick of Ty yelling at everybody. I know he has ADD but still.

I am less than interested in this show. In fact, I am less than interested in all the so-called reality shows. I've never watched any of them, & find it highly unlikely I would. I get enough reality in my life, I don't want it on my television. My television is for entertainment & edification & I don't want it cluttered with all this "reality" garbage.
IMHO.

i don't. this one time, (i don't know anyone else's name on the show) the guy with glasses was knocking down kitchen cabinets by swinging at them with a sledge hammer and ty was standing there yelling like he always does, and the guy swings and knocks, like, half the cabinet off the wall and sends it flying into ty's forehead. oh, it was priceless.....

I don't watch it, but then I live in another country and I have no clue who you are talking about... Sounds annoying though.
