Yes! As long as no private information, aside from name, is displayed there is no law or policy to prevent it.

No, you need to have a release signed by each employee to display photos.........You can also search for this answer on a website with regard to work laws and ethics. Just type Washingtonlaborlaws.com (if your in WA) or Federalemploymentlaws.com. Then print the answer and annonymously place it on the managers chair this way you wont suffer retaliation.

You are a representative of the company you are employed with, so unless you are ashamed of the employer, then you should feel proud to have your photo displayed so everyone knows how good you are, just as you should feel proud to wear a name badge if asked.
If you do feel ashamed to work there, then perhaps a rethink of your current employer is in order.
Surely you are not ashamed of giving out your name. However age, address, etc are different issues.
One exception is if you are in victim protection or similar, but that is handled as per police requests to the employer.

They can put your picture up, but you should get a say in how much info goes up with it - like your surname for example. You can say they can only use your first name for example as displaying your surname could be all a stalker needs to hunt you down.

Interesting question, we're being forced to have our pics put up on the Intranet, supposedly for "security" reasons... Seeing as this is never what it was meant for and I don't want my picture up I'm resisting strongly.
I would say if it's not in your contract that you have to, they can't force you to do anything.

Use one of those Muslim veils when you have your photo taken. I knew that they would come in handy one day. Seriously I think that they do need your permission to publish any photos of you. Good luck.
