I'm working with this girl, pretty certain she doesn't see me as boyfriend potential but hoping to be friends. I tried to arrange something on the weekend but she was busy so a week later I suggested doing something sometime in the future and she agreed. We have lunch a few times a week together. So I suggested seeing a movie one day after work. She asked what time they closed but unfortunately they're not available that week.

But she stills treats me the same at work, doesn't say a whole lot in general but when I say something she responds positively (doesn't try and get rid of me).

Does it sound like she's interested, just as friends? And am I correct in assuming that if a girl is trying to give me the flick, she would also become less available at work, like she wouldn't respond as positively as she used to?

It seems like she likes you as a friend right now and nothing more. If she didn't like you as a friend she wouldn't be going out to lunch or even talking to you at work. It doesn't seem like there is anything more here at the moment, but who knows??? Some people have weird ways of showing how they like a person.

Mixed messages. ( from you) I'm not clear on the situation. Work is not a good place for this kind of thing to grow. With that said..... chase, then chase a bit more and then step back and just SMILE. I think she is interested and will respond by dropping hints.

GOOD LUCK !!

She sounds like she would like to be friends and on that friend level. Yes, if she didn't want anything to do with you she'd not talk to you. Or she could just be really nice but overall I think she'd like being cool with you. Don't push it, be easy and take things slow. Then see how it all unfolds. Good luck.
