about 26 years ago I got a gift for Sinterklaas (Dutch celebration of St. Nicolas' birthday, on December 5th) at school which consisted of a tobacco package filled with chewing gum - of course the gum had taken the taste of the tobacco - threw the gift in the trashcan - worst gift ever for sure!!!

My husband got me an Epilady the for our first Christmas. (it was the model that pulled your hair out by the roots). After using it on a one inch section of leg, I quit. It was never used again.
I found out later, the reason he was late coming home that day was because he was picked up for shoplifting. Thankfully that marriage didn't last.

I went away for a few days over the holiday season with my mother and my young brother. As a gift they gave me a bottle of bubble bath - "because then we won't have to clean the bath!"

A cookery book on my 13th birthday! I was flabergasted, I was expecting some make up or a new pair of shoes, not a cookery book! Mind you, I kept it and now I am nearly 40, I love it hehehe

It was my 9th birthday and I had a party at my house. Almost every single one of my friends bought me the same present which was one of those foil rubbing picture sets. Crap.
