I recommend white spirits and a cloth. Should be ok with motor cycle paintwork as it is generally cellulose or acrylic based (two part).
White spirits is from a slighly different chemical group, same grouping as the waxoil I beleive. If unsure always test in a spot not easily visible. Stay away from acetates(nail varnish removers)

If it was me, I would try melting it again by pouring hot (Not boiling) water over the area and wiping it off. I would have thought this was a safter option before trying the other methods.
