Yeah it is really sad.... the Jon Voight one...
I used to have a huge crush on Ricky Schroeder when I was a kid (ok, so i WAS obsessed...haha), so i wasnt really sad when I saw the movie back then.. But now when I think about it, man, i cried my heart out.

do you mean saddest as in tear jerking or lame? yeah it was a sad film I though, but then again I don't think I have seen it since it came out which was what like 20 years ago?

The remake, with Jon Voight & Ricky Schoeder, is dreadful dreck, IMHO. Just way too treacly & maudlin.
The original, with Wallace Beery & Jackie Cooper, is much better.

i have watched this movie so many times through the years......and i still cry.....its very sad indeed....Another really sad movie that comes to mind is My Life it has nicole kidman and michael keaton......OMG
