Your attention is 100% (or should be) on your ride. You forget your worries and just experience the wind, the sounds, the smells and the sights that are in constant change about you. It gets you back to the basics of life, your interaction with the environment and nature. It's about the daredevil in all of us. Bikers don't run from it, we embrass it and let the world see it. It's something that is difficult if not impossible to put into words. Those who ride just know.

At first, it's the thrill of trying something completely new. The learning curve is pretty steep, since you are trying to coordinate balance, weight distribution, and controls that are COMPLETELY different than a car. All on a machine that offers no protection from falling and can accelerate faster than a Porsche!
Once the learning curve goes away, the sensation of leaning into a corner JUST SO is beyond description! When the bike starts feeling smaller and smaller, you eventually reach a point where you no longer consciously think about what you're doing.
It's like walking- it took years to learn how to walk, but do you ever think about exactly HOW you do it now? Same with riding a motorcycle. So you get the feeling that the bike is simply an extension of your body, and all you have to do is enjoy the sensation of flying and those perfectly balanced corners.
Leaning into a smooth corner at 80mph, light trail braking, your knee just inches from the pavement; hit the apex, then smooth on the throttle as you rocket out of the turn! I don't know how else to describe it!

Three things. Motorcyclists like them all, but different people often find one or the other more important.
You're out in the natural world, feeling it all very immediately. You can see everything. You can feel everything, like a change in the temperature when the road dips a little and the air gets a tiny bit colder.
The vehicle responds fast to every control input. It's like the world's best sports car.
It's a really cool thing to do. Bikes look good.
People who like the first thing more tend to buy bikes that go long distances well, like BMWs, and ride them on long trips, some overnight.
People who like the second thing more tend to buy bikes that go really fast, like sportbikes, and ride them for an hour in the afternoon.
People who like the third thing more tend to buy bikes like Harley Davidsons, and ride them to a social gathering place.
From the length of my descriptions you can see what is most important to me, although I like them all.

If you have to ask you must not ride. I gain a lot of pleasure from riding in many ways. Most of all I enjoy living life my way. I also enjoy seeing the world from the saddle of my motorcycle. Mountain trips are the best!

its the sounds around you ,the smells in the air,the ability to fly without leaving the ground.
sanity maintenance on steroids.the bike takes you places and they seem totally different from a exposed point of view.
no matter where you go it enhances your senses and gets your heart rate up but in a good way ,its not for everyone but if you try it and like it that will be your best answer of all
