Two of my favourite authors, and I have a favourite, only because I really got to know each of the characters in her books, (Kay Scarpetta series), it has to be Patricia. Who is your favourite and what was your favourite book.

Defo Patricia Cornwell i have to admit she is the only author who makes me rush out to buy her books. Feel in love with Kay and Benton Wesley. She made me feel as if i knew them all as if they were old friends.

Oooooh, thats a tough one. I grew up reading Stephen King (favourite book 'It') but I have recently discovered Patricia Cornwell and loved Post Mortum. I would probably say Patricia Cornwell because I love th forensic side of it. Favourite author of all time has to be Kathy Reichs, again for the forensics bit, but also cos she has a dry sense of humour and the books are funny as well as scary and educational!!!!!

Stephen King is miles better than Patricia Cornwell. He doesnt need to keep banging on about the same character in every book he writes, he has other ideas!

Stephen King. I have two favourites of his. The Stand & Salems Lot. The Stand is about a flu virus that wipes out the planet with the survivors knowing that they have to get to a certain place. It's a story of survival without the basics that we take for granted, what happens to others that survive and there is nobody to save them when they injure themselves and good versus evil. It's a good read that starts right at the beginning. I love Salems Lots as it's a modern day Vampire story and with the hustle and bustle of daily life in a small town. 95% of the people do not a clue what is happening around them in their own town. If it did happen in one of our local towns. Nobody would know as we are all to busy with the hectics of life. Both books can get you thinking. I hate it when they make films about books as they never capture the real story.

CORNWELL for sure. Mind you the last couple of Scarpetta Novels haven't been up to her old standards. But Lucy is so hot in them. Obviously now she has grown up. Damn that girls sounds so hot.
There was talk at one time about one of her books being made into a movie. I think it might have been Cause of Death. I'm not sure what happened with that but I think Jorgia Fox who plays Sarah in CSI would make a great Lucy.

"Greatness runs in the family." Saying that, why don't you try Stephen King's new apprentice -- His own son! Joe Hill. Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill Plot; Jude Coyne, an aging rock-star, is a collector of all things strange and gruesome. At the novel’s outset, he is awaiting the imminent death of his father, from whom he is estranged. He is divorced and has been in a series of relationships with much younger women. The other members of his band are dead and he has a strong relationship only with his two dogs. His attention is directed to an online auction site on which a ghost is being offered for sale, attached to the suit of a dead man. Coyne’s interest is piqued and he buys the suit/ghost. But it appears that the dead man has a wholly malevolent agenda of his own. Then try Stephen Kings no. 1 competitor Dean Koontz. I would suggest Watchers, great book, easy to read with brilliant suspense.' Cheers ;)

I like Stephan King better, because somewhere along the line, Kay Scarpetta and that cop, what's his name? Really started to annoy me. Their interaction bothered me a lot, until I stopped reading the series.

My favorite King book is either The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordan, or IT.

Stephen king never heard of the other author though I must go check her out at the library. His best book was a collaboration wiht Peter Straub though in my opinion it has been overlooked way too many times. Try reading "The Talisman" all you King readers. There is a second book out that follows this one although I don't recall the title. If you like the dark tower books youll like this.
