5'3"

Like most people here I go with Earth 616's 5'3" Wolverine. Even though we're only talking about SIX INCHES.... It is the fact that "mainstream" Wolverine is SO short that he has such a big chip on his shoulder. I mean really, in Marvel the average superhero is between 6 and 7 feet tall (Thor, Thing, Captain America, Cyclops, Hulk, and Luke Cage all fall within that range), how would you feel if you were only chest high to many of your "peers"?

I still go for the original Wolverine, he had more spunk, and being only 5'3" it befits the animal from which the hero was named: small, yet strong and ferocious for its size.

Incidentally, I think they cast Hugh Jackman in the X-men movies with the Ultimate Wolverine in mind.

Any variation of Wolverine, especially the Hugh Jackman version, is perfectly fine with me.

I liked the old Wolverine, short, tough and scrappy!

I preferred the 5'3" original - full of mystery, fiesty, scrappy... No way would he have let Scott fall to his possible death and muscle in on Jean Grey, no matter how he felt for her - he had too much honour. Much better character, all round.

With respect to what one other answerer said about the 5' 3" Wolvie being only chest high to his peers, remember that he isl ALSO only chest high to most of those fabulously well endowed heroines...! Talk about a view!
