I use the free version of Grisoft's AVG 7 and windows defender spykiller.

Go to Windows Market Place and they have many there for free and other software like antispy and most are free and are recommend by Windows Microsoft

get AVG from grisoft.com
it detected viruses which even mcafee and norton cudnt find on my pc
it also doesnt slow down the system
