Mentally challenged can be someone who struggles to learn or understand like the average person, meaning, you can have a high IQ and still be mentally challenged because although you are smart, you still learn differently. Physically challenged is someone who can't perform a certain physical act. Someone without a hand to me, is only partially challenged physically, since more than likely the other hand works???? Handi cap to me is someone with a little more severity in a physical task, such as para or quadra plegic.

The difference between a Physically Challenged person, Mentally Challenged person Are weather their difficulties are mental or physical And handicap person could loosely be describes as either but in general its not considered politically correct. If a person is missing a hand I'd say they might be physically challenged because it is merely a challenge of their physical form.

Physically challenged person; someone who has physical challenges. Unable to perform tasks that most can do with their bodies.

Mentally challenged; someone who has is mentally low functioning. perhaps an adult with an IQ of a child. Or may suffer also from emotional issues.

Handicap could be used to describe someone who sufferers from both physical and mental challenges or just one or the other. I prefer to say challenged, handicapped sounds so permanent. and that is not always the case.

Good luck and God Bless

well.. my thoughts are that a physically challenged person is one who cannot physically do something whether that be lifting something, or walking, like a paraplegic or quadriplegic. A mentally challenged person, is someone who does not have the normal mental ability of that of an average person to complete everyday or other tasks.. A handicap ed person doesn't have to be mentally challenged or physically challenged but but may have have an impairment physically, but not enough to be completely unable to do anything. A handicapped person can also include someone who is mentally and physically challenged as well.. it is kinda an umbrella term to cover both arenas

A physical handicap person is one who has physical disability, for example- one who may be in a wheelchair, born or loses a part of their body. Many though don't regard themselves as disabled. Mentally challenged is one who has mental shortcomings, such as down syndrome, autistic, or mentally retarded. Some can be well functioning in society and do many things but most business owners won't hire them.
To the other part of your question if a person is missing a hand they would be considered physically challenged, though they may be highly functioning.
May I ask , why the question?

Just because someone is over 21 does not mean they're mature.

Physically challenged, pretty simple. There's something wrong with them physically that puts limits on what they can do.

Mentally challenged, same. Something wrong mentally that limits them.

Handicapped, that could apply to someone who is physically and/or mentally challenged. A handicapped person could have been born that way or could be that way due an an accident or injury.

What's the purpose of this anyway?

A physically challenged person is someone who has something wrong with them physically (IE the missing hand thing)
A mentally challenged person is someone who has some type of learning or mental problem (Retarded)
A handicap person is someone who is either physically challenged or mentally challenged (both categories fit under this label)

physically handicapped means there is something wrong with their body. Mentally challenged person means their brain does not send the responses properly or very slowly, handicap people are either mentally challenged or physically handicapped.

If someone was missing a hand they would be physically handicapped

physically challenged is more like lacking in motor functions limiting ones abilities to do physical things ,and mentally challenged is more like a mental state of mind( temp. or perm.) that makes it harder for one to learn things remember things etc. and handicaps are most always a permanent condition like maybe a birth defetc or missing limbs ect. hope this helps

A PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSON BODY WILL NOT ALLOW THEM 2 DO WHAT THEY DESIRE 2 DO.A MENTALLY CHALLENGED PERSON'S BRAIN IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY AS THEY WOULD LIKE 4 IT 2 DO SO.A HANDICAP PERSON IS KIND OF SIMILAR 2 A PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSON BECAUSE THE BODY IN SOME FORM OR ANOTHER EVEN IF IT'S A BIRTH DEFECT YOUR LIMBS R NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY.
