Because no liquid is permitted on the carry-on luggage, I cannot possibly bring my contacts and solution with me. If I wear contact lenses on the airplane for 2 huors, would that be very bad and my eyes get REALLY dry?

I wear my contacts about 95% of the time. And my glasses the rest. I have made many plane trips wearing them. And had no problems. We went to France last year, a much longer than 2 hour flight. And I didn't have a bit of trouble. You can get lubricating drops and carry them on in your purse. The air lines allow that.
Good luck.

You should be fine. I have worn my lenses for much much longer than that on a plane. If worried, pop into the pharmacy and get some saline eye drops, in case you feel the need to lubricate your eyeballs a bit!
Have a good flight

The rules on bringing fluids on board of a plane have changed again. So you will be fine.I have flown longer then 13 hours one time and did not need a single drop of fluids. It will be OK.Have a Good flight and don't worry.

I would think it okay for two hours but probably wouldn't suggest a longer flight. Can't you now buy solution at a shop once you've passed the security checkpoint? I think under rules changes that might be permitted.
