I saw it on tv years ago, you can make it at home with flour and when you move it around in you hand it's kind of solid, but when you stop moving it, it begins to melt. What is it, and more importantly, how do you make it?!!

Try making it with corn flour instead. When you squish it, it cakes and crakes as though it has set, but if you open your hand it just runs through your fingers like water.

I use cornflour, water and a little food colouring. Great fun.

I think you're talking about the home-made approximate of "play dough." Just Google "play dough recipe" and you should get what you're looking for.

Franny is correct. It is salt dough. I have some salt dough earrings made in Peru. Little brightly painted birds.
