If you are talking about a drug then yes it is very common! It's part of the withdrawl process. Your body is freaking out because it doesnt have what it is used to....like the nicotine, the caffine, the heroine....lol....whatever it is that you were addicted too. And so it lowers your immune system. I quit drinking pop and I was felt like poop for the first 3 days. Now I am over it and really don't want to drink it nemore, now it's too sweet for me. hope this helped.

Depending on what it is, yes its not unheard of. The body is trying to eliminate toxins in the only way it knows how as well as trying to adapt without the chemicals it has lived with beforehand.

The body has been shaken up and all its strength is used on dealing with the withdrawal symptoms and your immune systems suffers temporarily thus making you prone to other problems, but this doesn't always happen or even always last for long, everyone is different, but i would recommend drinking lots of water and eat natural foods as much as possible to try and dilute the toxins and making yourself stronger inside so you cope better.

It does get so much better, the benefits outweigh these temporary problems.

good luck to whoever is trying

If its something like smoking, drugs or drinking then yes it is VERY common. Its your body getting rid of the toxins that you've been putting in for years whatever. Stick with it though and feeling sick and poorly doesnt last long - honestly. If it gets too bad then ask for help from your GP - they can prescribe something to help you feel better in the short term.

Yes...I would know I quit smoking about 3 months ago.
The reason for this happening is your body needs to get worse to get better so that you can cough up (or hurl) all the nasty stuff that you've taken in.
It takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get over the smoking addiction so hang in there

good luck
