Giggly Giraffes would rule the world. JOKING. Cockroaches would only rule if the movie, "MIB" (Will Smith) was accurate.
In the whole universe ... God is not human; but we were created in his image. We don't know what image we've inherited from God. Since I'm taught to "Believe in the seen and unseen" well, who knows if most of my physical appearance is unseen (like my soul). God may very well have created other creatures in the universe in him image who look different than he does; hence not human. God's whole being is "Love" and love is not containable so it spills over by creating more "Love".
The Earth would certainly be different. No architexture like the Pyrimids, Churchs, roads, bridges, or mini-malls. Mosquitoes would only be in Asia ... Polor bears MIGHT have more ice (if global warming is man made and not cyclical) ... and whales would be more plentiful.

Very good question indeed. Human beings think always that there is a purpose for life and they are in search of it all the time. I guess it is life. I strongly believe that life itself is just a recycle product of the nature (which means it just sprouted at some time because right conditions existed, it is purely coincidental).
So to answer your question that "Then What", then NOTHING... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... whatever you feel that there is something today, is actually NOT there. So, it doesn't matter if there are human beings or not...
Life is a mystery... Explore it.. You will enjoy it...You will know the true answer that there is NOTHING...
I appreciate your question...GOOD LUCK in your quest...

Maybe there would be (or, maybe there are "now" or would have are being "somewhen" in space-time) other creatures pondering on a variation of this question. The anthropic principle (in brief) states that the universe is surprisingly hospitable to the emergence of life. Put in another way, intelligence (not necessarily human) is the way of the Cosmos to know itself. So, supposing that there were no human beings in the universe wouldn't really matter I suppose!

then you wouldn't be here to ask this question, honestly I have no idea what you are looking for or hoping here with this question other than pure stupidity in return from most of the people who respond but it would be the universe without humans, no biggie, especially here on earth as I am quite sure the rest of the world with all of the animals in it could get by just fine with out us

The world would function properly. Humans consume and waste... we consume what is produced, and dispose of what we don't use... so then bacteria digests what we dispose and the cycle begins all over again. With out the consumer, ie. humans the circle of life would be fine.

Then simple...
There would be no space litter. No one inhabiting the Earth, or no humans. The third rock from the sun will be clean and pollution free.
And there would be no Yahoo! Answers.

You should look up the Anthropic principle. Basicaly that's when you answer the question "why is the universe the way it is?" with the answer, "if it were any other way we wouldn't be here."
