Anytime you feel awkward when someone says or does something to you can be construde as sexual harrassment. Any unwanted look, words, touch is considered sexual harrassment. A joke, someone's ongoing affair in the workplace, anything that makes you feel uneasy or violated. There have been reports of sexual harrassment when a co-worker walks past and just says hello. Not that anything was done about it but it is investigated. If you feel violated and your employer does nothing about the situation then you will want to take it to the higher level, i.e. labor board, attorney, court.

You should report it immediately if you feel violated.

Sexual harassment may not be sexual abuse as harassment may not include any inappropriate touching or conversation (to the victim) Sexual harassment is merely a hostile work environment that you are being exposed to. It could be a coworkers sexual relationship w/ the supervisor that creates this environment. It could be dirty jokes or just unwanted jokes for that matter posted on a company email.
Sexual abuse if I am not mistaken involves a more relational violation, something specifically said to an individual or done physically to some one.

Here are some guidelines:

When behavior is unwelcome and unwanted, it is harassment. Thell them it is unwelcome, and ask them to stop. If they do not, report it.

When such behavior is made to be a condition of employment, a raise or promotion, etc, it is most definately unlawful. report it.

When such activity creates a hostile working environment ( you do not want to be there because of the behavior and it affects your job performance) it is harassment and unlawful. Report it.

By law, there should be a notice on the bulletin board with contact points you can use if you are not comfortable talking to your boss.

Sexual harrassment is an unwanted sexual approach towards a person, it can be a physical attempt or oral.

Sexual abuse means a person has been used for sexual satisfacion against his/her will.

I think all this stuff deserves to be reported, it sucks big times.

There is sexual harassment and abuse when the act is one of those enumerated under the law. The element of threat, abuse and harrassment must be present in the act.

sexual harassment IS abuse. You should report it in the first instance. Don't stand for it at all or the person will keep trying it on.

When you consider it invasive to your personal space that's sexual harassment, when it goes beyond that and its hands on or verbally disgusting then that's abuse. Anything that you consider to be wrong needs to be reported.

Without going into details, it would be helpful if we knew about what kind of harassment you are referring to.

Touching, unwanted verbal advances, etc... or something even more sinister?

Or are you overprotective about perhaps a guy telling an off color joke? (That kind of passive aggression is disturbing to me).

There is no fine line, one is a criminal act, the other is not.

If one keeps looking at my butt, that could be harrassment, if they slap it, then it becomes sexual assualt.
