I love thunderstorms!

I love watching the lightning streak across the clouds and strike the ground. I'd love to get some photos of lightning one day. I don't know anybody, even those that don't like thunderstorms that don't say "wow" at a good lightning photo - it's nature at its most spectacular.

It's not just the lightning either, the cloud formations in a thunderstorm, especially if you see it approaching from an area of blue sky, can be incredible. The noise of the thunder just excites me and the driving rain that always seems to get harder when you don't think it possibly can. And the hail you get in some storms, from tiny pellets to huge chunks of it.

Even if you're not a fan of thunderstorms, you can't deny that they're a pretty impressive force of nature.

i love thunderstorms, i love the way, it can scare and thrill me at the same time. It is nature at its most extreme.I really love a thunderstorm in sthe summer, when it is hot and the rain is warm, i can stand outside and get wet, without feeling cold. It is very liberating to stand there, to me it feels like the nearest thing to being born again. But maybe i am just weird.lol.My kids on the other hand hate thunderstorms, i just tell them;God is loosing his temper with a few bad people, and chucking the furniture around. It always gets a laugh, and seams to calm them a bit.

I think thunderstorms are great , very romantic but exciting too. It makes you feel like youre in a horror movie yourself . Like when the thunder starts and the lights go out ! Then a monster or creature comes . Basically what im trying to say is there so dramatic .They just set the scene ,if you know what i mean . Just like mother nature intended !

I love thunderstorms, especially if I'm safe and snug inside my home. When my children were small, I'd tell them that when the Angels were bowling, the sound of the rolling ball was thunder. Lightning was when the Angels got a strike. LOL They knew I was teasing them and it lessened their fear. They learned to love thunderstorms, too.

I love thunderstorms. I know im a bit mad but I like standing out in them (not under a tree) and watching the sky light up and then waiting for the thunder clap

I like them, they are exciting and dramatic
You can't beat a really good storm, watching the lightening flash across the sky, a bit like fireworks, really! I like the really deep rumbling thunder and the great big cracks, the ripping sounds.
At the same time they are a bit disconcerting and you can't help hoping you are going to be ok, that you and/or your house are not going to get struck by all this wonder! It's always a relief when there's a good gap between the lightening and the thunder, not so good when the thunder's there right on top of the lightening.

I love the smell of a thunderstorm approaching, and I don't mind the thunder, but the lightening scares me if it's too close, but it is beautiful to watch ... I just don't want it to be right over head.
