I have been (or was) involved with a man from US whom I met on-line and I became pregnant on his 2nd visit. He has failed several times on his promise to see me and his daughter (who is now turning 2 years old) and he is nowhere to be located (although we still communicate on-line from time to time). I have found out of his ex-wife's e-mail address and have been hesitating to send her an e-mail or call her at work to ask about the whereabouts of this man. What will you do if you are ever caught up in this situation? Thanks! Please note that I am not asking for financial support.

This is a really difficult situation.

This woman has no real ties to you and this man as a couple, but she may know where he is. You are not doing any harm by getting in touch with her to ask for information, after all, your child may want to know who her father is at some point.

You need to be very careful about what you say to the ex-wife, but at the end of the day, you need to look out for your family and that means doing what you can for yourself and your daughter. All you can do is try. IF she wants to help, she will, but if she doesn't, you have not lost anything by trying.

He has a responsibility to you and his daughter, you have the right to find out where he is and what he is doing.

Good luck !!

That's a tough situation.
It is only right that your child know her father, he did make the choice to have relations with you.
Although he is married and his wife is innocent and most likely unknowing of his actions.
I wouldn't get his wife involved, she has done nothing wrong and shouldn't have to be hurt with this information.
Hope this helps.

I think she needs to know about the child and that her husband is a cheater. It will probably make him mad.He needs to be paying child support.

If he helped to create that child, he should be helping to support it. I would contact her to see if she has any recent contact information for him.
