I know no sane person would believe in mermaids, but take a look at this , what do you think this is?

That would be what is called a Fiji Mermaid. Not a fake pic, but some clever taxidermy.

Sigh not another one. There is one of these in the vaults at Ripley's Believe It Or Not as well. Everyonce in a while a poor person over there thinks this up to make money. If you look closely at the photograph you can probably see that this is a half monkey half fish manmade creation. It has been done before in the 1930's, created a huge sensation, and then was discovered to be a fraud, as this one most likely is too. Trust me. of thing was real, where in the world are all the scientist, and why don't we have the photos of the autopsy and the report on it avaliable. Think about it.

angk is right - as soon as I saw the thumbnail I thought "Fiji Mermaid." And that is what is is.
It is a souvenir version of having your photograph taken next to a wooden statue of "Bigfoot" - some curio to take home and show the folks, but not to be taken seriously.

well it looks pretty real to me and plus they decided to go out of their way to put a story with it, I am sure if it is real though we will hear more news about it, I don't think it is real though, if there is one than they have been around as long as everything else has and more of them would have been discovered before this
