just this past month i have been missing a few of my pills here and there and now that it is time for my period all i have been doing is spotting. I will go to the bathroom once and i will be bleeding and then later i won't. It's been going on for 3 days now. Could I be pregnant? Has anyone else had this problem?

Because you missed your pills you compromised your protection so yes, you could be pregnant if you are sexually active. Take a test. If the test is negative, take another one in a weeks time but, do remember to start your new pack on time. The pill does not harm early pregnancy and there's no need to further compromise your protection out of pregnancy worries. Stop the pill only if you get a positive test result. It's possible that missing the pills threw off your cycle and that the spotting is a result of that but, you need to take a test. In the future, use a back up method of birth control and set your cell phone or watch alarm to remind you to take your pills everyday at the exact same time until you can see your doctor about using another form of hormonal contraceptive like shot, the patch or the nuva ring. It's better safe than sorry and if you can't remember a pill everyday, these other options are probably best for you. Good luck!

by missing do you mean forgetting to take it but you took it later or you just didn't take'em...cause if that's the case then there's a good chance of pregnancy or it may be that sometimes when you don't take your pills the way your supposed to you hormones get messed up and that might be the reason for spotting.....BUT buy an e.p.t test and check...you don't want to deal with the stress of not knowing...and even if it comes back positive...abortion is a PILL now a days..so no worries....

I wouldnt worry too much, but just wait and see.
In the future if you forget a pill , most times your doctor will just tell you to take the forgotten pill as soon as you remember and continue with your normally scheduled pill.. so if you forget and when you go to take it the next day and you rmember , you just take two , but I wouldnt take more than two at a time.. just try to remember everyday.. I think if you get in the habit of taking it at the same time everyday, like with breakfast or something you wont forget as easy!
