Definitely the Sony Vaio. You will have to shop around for the latest and best version that had the media capacity that you want, but we recently bought one for this purpose and it is fantastic! it also has a 14in screen and weighs under 3kg. Cost was less than £800. Lewis' stock one that is not available anywhere else.

In Hollywood, ALL CGI effects and video editing is performed on Apple computers because they are THE computer to use for graphics. So, if money is no problem, check into an Apple. But, if a PC would be more compatible to you, then get a computer with the new Intel Dual Core processor and load that sucker up with as much RAM as you can afford/it will hold and you should be editing without any slow-down...
