I have had my heart broke so bad before, that I thought I was going to die. I was wondering if a person could actually die from this? I mean, it felt like my chest was going to cave in, and I couldn't breathe. I didn't want to die (as some people claim) I just wanted to keep from dieing, how can this be?

yes it can... i have told my family that if and when i die be sure to let everyone know that i died from a broken heart... the reason for this is my husband cheated on me 2 times and it realllllly does hurt and yes just like a car the heart can be broken beyond repair

Sweetheart I am so sorry this has happened to you, the one thing you have to remember is that none of this was your fault and honestly sweetheart, broken hearts do mend, I can promise you that. You cannot let this person bring you down, the best way to show him that he has not broken you is to pick yourself up and get out there and live your life as you want, the emptiness will disappear in time, also so remember our bodies can only cope with giving up one thing at a time, so give yourself time and patience and everything will work out, Good luck to you and if every you need a shoulder to cry on you can contact me through answers, I am a very good listenerxxx

It can be shattered into shards and smitherines, but it will repair itself as when do we really have a choice but to go on.? Some would say suicide, that is the cowards way out. Living life is for heroes and as hard as it is and will be day in and day out, one can find a place to hide in all the turmoil by remembering simple things that pleased one so... a walk, a look back, looking for you and waiting for you period, the tilt of a head, changing ones clothing when something else was standard, looking for you in the wind all day long, worrying that all is well with you, hands fluttering in motion for a purpose to melt your heart, the walk of a warrior, a champion in your heart no matter if they broke it a thousand times. Love will go one forever and ever into a destiny of beyond eternity in my heart and soul, for ME to keep always, always , always,,,,,,,,,

gee that's tough. sorry that you feel this way. but humans have resiliant spirits and are able to move on if they decide to. If you decide to let this eat you up then it will and i don't think your heart will repair. Just take it a day at a time and find someone to talk to that will listen or write down your feelings. Mourn a bit let yourself heal and then slowly pick yourself up, one step at a time and move on the the next phase of your life. you may be thinking yeah that's easy to say right now but i know you can move on with your life. good Luck
P.s they said jesus died from a broken heart so it may be possible but he died because he loved man kind so much that it hurt him to see the things they were doing to him and to each other and he wanted to save them.

I REALLY DONT KNOW...I KNOW A GUY THAT HAS A BROKEN HEART....HE GETS CHEST PAINS...DEPRESSION SET IN....EASY TO GET STRESSED OUT....HE HAS A NICE HOME,NICE MOTORCYLES, REAL NICE TRUCK.....HE IS ASKED OUT ALOT, AND TURNS THEM DOWN.....HE LIVES ALONE AND HAS NO FAMILY EVEN CLOSE TO HIM.....THIS IS GOING TO BE HIS 8th YEAR DURNING THE HOILDAYS ALONE...I KNOW HIM WELL, I RIDE WITH HIM.....HE'S PART INDIAN....ON HIS LEATHER VEST READS; (A LARGE PATCH) BROKEN HEART ACROSS THE BACK.......
