If you go to really good ones you can get caught up in all the fun and fantasy, which is akin to a spell cast over you. When you leave and go back into the "real world" it's almost sad.

Of course, why only recently I attended one where a man pulled fairies out of his hat and they danced around and sprinkled everyone with magic dust. Then we all had candy floss.
