How long does sperm last for in a womans body?

Question

if I had intercourse on 6th, 7th & 8th of October and ovulating on 9th-11th, is there a good chance I could be pregnant? I stopped taking my contraceptive pill last month and worked out the days of my last period blah blah blah and I could actually feel I was ovulating yesterday as I usually always feel it.

Hi,

The maximum length of time sperm can survive in a woman's body is 5 days - however the conditions have to be perfect for this to happen and the sperm do become very weak.

You could not have ovulated over 2 days - if you ovulated on the 9th there is a really good chance that the little spermies were well and pregnancy could very well occur.

However by the 10th and they would have been dying off - and the 11th (in my opinion would be way to late to achieve pregnancy) - but that's not to say that you aren't pregnant.

Sperm can survive from 3-6 days inside a woman's body. With the last date of sex being the 8th and ovulation 9-11th, there is a good possibility of getting preg. The chances would be higher however if you were to have sex say on the 10th. I guess the only way to know for sure however is by having a positive preg test on the 27th!.. Good Luck!

The sperm live for up to 7 days inside your body! So there is a chance that you could be, but it takes time. It took me and my boyf nearly a year. Some people obsess about becoming pregnant and that can slow down your chances. So just be patient and relax.

I think there is a very Good chance on you becoming pregnant!Sperm last in the cervix from 3-5 days. Even though ovulation only occurs from 12-24 hours that last day you had intercourse would be in your body from the 11th-13th. Good Luck!

YES!!!!!! there is a very high chance that you could be pregnant as the male sperm survives in your body for three days,
wait for two more weeks and do a pregnancy test, it wont show up any sooner. you are most fertile for the 3 days leading up to ovulation. good luck x

It lasts for 72hours at most which is why the morning after pill is taken over a period of 72hours. Since you were taking your contraceptive last month and if you have been taking them for some time, the chances are your ovarian system is not yet ready for fertilization, but if your are overly fertile chances are you could be pregnant, so try taking the pregnancy test that wil give you a reliable answer.
