Would other baseball owners in baseball take a closer look at a salary cap in baseball now that the 200 million dollar payroll team cant get out of the first round of the playoffs? Do you think it would be a good idea? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm a Yankee fan and I'd love to see a salary cap in baseball but it'll never happen. Most of the owners still wouldn't pay enough to be competitive, and they'd lose their luxury tax money.

You sure do ask alot of questions.

There is a salary cap in baseball. It's called a soft cap. Teams are allowed to go over the salary cap. The teams that go over the salary cap pay a percentage to the rest of the teams in the league. This generates alot of $. The biggest problem, I see, is not the teams that go over the cap, but the teams that receive $ from the teams that go over the cap and don't use the $ to better their own teams, but just put the $ in their pocket. So, to sum it up, I'd make a bottom cap before a top cap.

No. The Yankees losing prove that the team that spends the most money does not always win.

Naw, no salary cap is needed. Let George waste his money any way he want. Afterall, it's his money.
