1) Gmail provides nearly 2 GB of storage space, where as Yahoomail provides 1GB of storage space.
2) Gmail supports 41 languages compared to yahoomail.
3) The main feature of gmail is you can use the browser to chat online with friends & family where as with Yahoo Id you need a messenger installed on the computer.
4) Gmail has a virtual drive, you can save your computer's hard drive and upload the files to the gmail virtual drive and can access from any place.

Personally, I like Yahoo Mail much better. Right now they're beta testing(??) a new and improved email...I'm sorry, I'm not really computer/internet savvy. But, yahoo mail has plenty of space if you wanted to send or recieve large files. I found Gmail to be quite buggy...and didn't have an attractive main page. HTH!!

Both have pros and cons.
GMAIL has big storage but it's spam filter is weak.
GMAIL tends to clump all related mails together and if you're not an advanced user, you might not like it.
Yahoo has got lesser storage but Yahoo has got much more tools. You can create a free website with your yahoo nick at http://www.geocities.com and subsequently you can also join Yahoo Groups with your Yahoo nick at ease.
I will give Yahoo the thumbs up. :-)

Both the services are good with the respect of their services. Yahoo provides less storage whereas gmaill provides more storage space but regarding services yahoo provides a lot of services whereas gamill does offer like this.

Only good thing abt gmail (according to me) is that it has a chat facility from the mailbox itself....so no need for separate messenger.
But still, Yahoo's much much better.

yahoo is better than g-mail becz
yahoo has more options than the g-mail
and we can listen yahoo music
play yahoo games
and chat & yahoo answers
yahoo geocities
yahoo 360
and many more i can't explain it here
so though lesser space in yahoo
yahoo is up to the mark
we can give 4 points to yahoo out of five
where as google we give only 2-points
