Well I did learn grammar...

I didn't learn much at school as I was bullied by a teacher when I was in the infant classes. It put me off teachers for the rest of my schooling.

I have learnt more from life than I ever did at school.

I have two teenage son's the eldest is now at college and doing well. My 14 year old is learning the same things as the my 16 year old did when he was at the school, they have exactly the same set of lessons, the homework is exactly the same in the same order, always on pre printed worksheets.

I think that anyone with a touch of common sense could probably teach these days without the qualifications.

Teachers say they don't earn much, but they always seem to have fancy cars.

Education didn,t really do anything for me. I hardly went to school and messed about when i was there. I really struggled with my work and the teachers were never realy helpful it seemed like me finding the work hard just made things harder for them. It got to the point where i was to embarrased to ask for help. If the teachers had taken more time to go over and explain things to me then i think i could of done better. They should also do more to make you realise how important qualifications are and how hard it is to find a decent job without them.

I wouldn’t say it has changed me but I do think it has given me the skills I have today if I could go back and do it again properly then I would, I spent so much time not bothering it was wasted on me first time around but the older you get the wiser you get and if I had to take a couple of years our and re do my education I would in an instant.

My education has definitely changed me into a better person, especially compairing myself to my other cousins, I realize now tht it's a good thing i had my degree. Now at the age of 50, I can teach other small children, by staying at home and helping to earn some pocket money.

My personal opinion - Education is necessary, but it only provides the basics, not good enough to survive in the real world when you are out in the society or actual work environment. The real world out there is the real learning classroom, the university of life! Much to learn here with the daily situations and people we meet.

Well, since I moved from Hong Kong to the United States, the education I learned in the United Stsates is learning how to speak English fluently, since I didn`t know how to speak english back then. Also, I learned how to write (although I still think i`m a horrible writer) , which was pretty important to me.

i would not be where i am now if it wasn't for education-at uni having THE TIME OF MY LIFE!!!!! Education has provided me with choice about what I want to do with my life, it has helped to shape me by providing me with an environment in which I can learn not only academically but also socially. I now know more about myself and my world which I find fascinating and very beneficial.

apart from the obvious advantages like being able to read, write, speak etc, i dont think alot of what you learn at school is of much benefit, i know that it looks good on your cv, job interviews etc if you have a good varied education, but i have 8 gcse's, 2 highers, numerous nc modules and hnc in childcare/education. but to be honest i cant remember much of anything! i have french, spanish and latin, and wouldnt be able to put together a sentence of any of them, ive forgotten most of the more complex maths, and alot of the other subjects you learn are just not relevant to everyday life!
