Is it possible that the media in America and to a lesser extent in Britain is controlled to some degree by Zionist supporters who do not readily accept any criticism of the actions of Israel?. It would also appear that the State of Israel is supported militarily and financially by the USA.

I took a look at the links. Surely the first one shows that there is a free press when it comes to criticism of Zionists.

In that case an author made an anti-Zionist comment in a book. Some Jewish people (presumably Zionists) didn't go to her party and there's a press report about it. How does that substatiate yourr statement?

The second link didn't have anything about Zionism at all and the others were all to the same site, Aljazeerah, which may well not be copmpletely independant on this issue, but which, in any case do criticize Zionism - again showing that there is free speech on this issue.

There is free speech where there is criticism of Zionists.

Yes, of course Free Press is just a myth, if there isn't a mass majority who agrees with a certain standpoint then the papers won't print it - or vice versa, if they are likely to be pilloried for their opinions then a paper wont take the risk of printing their 'opinion' - of course the reason they would give for this is that need to remain impartial, which means to have a totally biased and one sided view of things. It was interesting that during the recent invasion of Lebanon, whilst there was an outcry in the press that UK and USA did nothing, there was still not open condemnation of Israels actions. But I think the UK has more 'freedom' to criticise on this issue than in America, where is seems to be almost completely taboo.

This strikes me as history repeating itself. In the 1930s the Nazis in Germany stirred up anti Jewish hatred by portraying Jews as being 'in control' of the world. This just smacks to me of a return to this anti semitic propaganda, disguised as some kind of conspiracy theory, and we all know where this ended up in Nazi Germany. If you feel that there is no criticism of zionism then I suggest you haven't looked very far. You will forgive me if I haven't clicked on the aljazeerah links. Hardly the most objective of sources one feels.

We demonise muslim 'extremists' but say nothing about their jewish counterparts. Now, why do you suppose that is?
