i went to a group interview before, and it was me and about 7 other hopeful people wanting the job. it kind of reminded me of a classroom where the teacher asks certain students for answers. the lady that interviewed us asked random questions pertaining to the job, but unlike the one on one type of interviews, you might only be asked 1 or 2 questions, depending on how large the group is. i felt less nervous due to the fact that there are others that are there wanting the job too. also, it kind of helps to hear other people's answers because you can feed off of that and prepare a better answer than what they gave. needless to say, i got hired for that position. good luck, you will do fine.

I went for one there 3 years ago. First they sit in a group and you tell everyone there why you are better than the rest and deserve the job. You then all partake in a group singalong. this is watched by interviewers to see how much of a team player you are. You must then work with the other people interviewed to build a raft which must float on a pool. Whoever works the best as a team and shows most competence will get the job!!
Good luck

Same thing that happens at a one-on-one interview except that employers generally have a board of several interviewers asking the group questions. They'll ask one question at a time. Kind of like the Dating Game, but you can see them and there are more people there. The job for you is to make yourself stand out to be the best prospect there for the job!

this is more like a job fair for one company... they advertise for a open house type... a staff member or owner introduces many applicants and give some information to all about their business, what openings are available and the job descriptions of them, basic salary, and other information, they do this to obtain applications and save time waiting for it to come by mail or email....[cost saving plan to company] then they ask everyone if they are interested, to see a staff person and make a appointment for the first interview.. they usually have some snack and chat time with everyone...

I went to one last year and it was like an interactive seminar. They gave us scenarios to work through and dumb things like handing out cards with pictures on them. They then asked how the picture related to you wanting to work there. They want confident people and this makes the situation amusing as you have a group of people all trying to impress, so getting a word in is quite difficult. Just be confident and speak well.

There may be group discussions and group events.
That may be followed by individual interviews.
You may expect something like that.
