Really really annoying.

and boring...

You mean everyone can right? Not just a few of us? A few of us would be cool as long as we can turn it on and off. I don't want to know if my man boss is thinking sexy thoughts about me.

Life would be equally good and bad if the abillity of reading each others minds were possible, amoungst which being positive would be the abillity rule out all forms of deception, and detecting and punishing all those with sadistic, murderous traits(except book, film authors and maybe even G.W.Bush).

The negative side would be knowing what you don't need or want to know, for example..someone else's disgusting fetish, or knowing a geek knows you know he fancies you.

A form of mind reading exists all ready, it's called hypnosis.

I would hope we could turn it off. If we couldn't turn it off we would be climbing under our beds from to much noise in our heads. If we could do it at will no one would ever cheat or lie. Then I would say the world would be a boring place. After all why call someone to chat if I know what they are thinking.
There are lots of people who can read minds. My dad could read mine.
