what are the characteristics of the outer planets in the solar system?

Sadly Pluto is no longer considered a planet.

The four outer planets that are left are all gaseous. Pluto, were it still a planet, would not share that characteristic, unless the gas has all frozen.

Also, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all have ring systems in varying degrees.

dunno?

one is huge compared to the rest.

one has a weird orbit...

the other has a different axis
