this probably is the most uncomfortable situation in life. i think argument is healthy, as long as there is not too much of it. but i dont think one should force the other to conform.

Politics is not an issue, even in a multi-racial relationship. Arguments usually arise not from the theme but the way a matter or opinion is expressed. In the end it is a question of mutual respect for each other's opinions. Without this, arguments are inevitable, regardless of the topic. Speaking from similar personal experience.

Well, we have some different views .. not opposing parties though cuz we are citizens of dif countries ....

We share our views, and discuss them, but we accept and respect each others opinions and have never argued over them. And yes, we discuss politics of both countries, among other things. Been together 5 years now.

If you find yourself arguing, best to declare a truce.

We don't argue about anything much. Certainly not going to fall out over politics. Whose turn is it to go on top - that's a different matter.

wife as a Pagan Heathen. After 14 yrs of marriage, we never argue about our differences. But.....Here in the Deep South,
it can be a real conversation starter!
