hi there, i wanted to launch video sharing website but didnt get any logic how can i use flash player in a way it can play any kind of video file. like big master doing now a days. youtube, videogoogle, myspace,msnvideo. can anyone help me regarding this. THanx in advance....

I had insert the flash content to my web site that way:











So just change the resent parameters.

You can't use Flash in the way that you want to - it just won't work. The Flash player will only play Flash content (*.swf files). Videos etc. tend not to be in Flash format - they are much more likely to be mpg, avi, mp4, wmv etc.

If you want to set up video sharing type stuff you need to upload whatever people want to put on your site, work out what sort of file it is then embed it in your web page accordingly. Once you've embedded it then the user's computer will decide how to play it - e.g. if you embed an mpg file then the user might play it using Quicktime or Windows Media Player or indeed something completely different!

I've only delt with Window media player on my site - but firstly you need to have meida (a movie or flash animation) to post on your site first.
I then just used html to post the running screen on the webpage. An example of this is shown on this site:

http://www.musicjesus.com

Where the html under each video can be copied and pasted onto a website. However for purposes of this site the html can not be altered.
