I havent had a period since my baby was born, and many moms told me it's because im breastfeeding. Im not 100% the breastfeeding is still a safe birth control, however, we've been very careful. Except tonight, my husband released in me and i want to know if I could take morning after pill while im breastfeeding?

any pharmacist who can help?

I think you still need a prescript for this so you will want to ask your doctor. I don't think it is a good idea though. FYI, breastfeeding is not a method of birth control, this is an old-wives tale!

Even if there was a Pharmacisit, they are not going to put there license on the line to give you advice! Malpractice these days is expensive.

breastfeeding is NOT birth control!

As for whether it is safe to breast feed and take the morning after pill........what does your gut tell you? Does it sound safe?

Still stumped? Then ask your Pharmacist. I'll give you a little hint. The answer is NO!

Progestins like Plan B are in breast milk. However, the impact of nursing infants is not completely known. However, progestin only contraceptives are the recommended contraceptives for nursing mothers. It appears that no adverse reactions by the infant occur.

I'm not a pharmacist, but I can tell you right now. It definitely isn't a good idea.

breast feeding is not birth control, why isnt he using condoms, that pill could be dangerous for the baby, but ask where you get them, i dont know why so many women are so ignorant of their bodies and how they work.
