When you look at different religions, they usually contain "magic." For example:
The Mormon religion contains the magical golden plates, the magical angel, the magical seer stones, the magical ascension of the plates into heaven, etc.
The Muslim faith contains the magical angel, the magical flying horse, the magical voices, the magical prophet, etc.
The Christian faith contains the magical insemination, the magical star, the magical dreams, the magical miracles, the magical resurrection, the magical ascension and so on.
The presence of "magic" is a clear marker for "imaginary." For example, how do we know that Santa is imaginary? Because (among other things) he has eight magical flying reindeer. How do we know that Jack and the Beanstalk is a fairy tale? Because (among other things) the story contains magical seeds. In the same way, how do we know that God is make believe? Because God is surrounded by magic.

Yes, It(THe Bible) Is God's Book, For 2 Timothy 3:16,17 Says "All Scripture Is God's Breath". I Agree With You That 'Faith-Blind Belief Never Finds Truth', But Truth Is Inside Each One Of Us, Yet We Ignore It. It'll Burst When You Get Accurate Interpretation Of It-Scripture (From A Good Teacher, For It's Said, In 2 Thimothy 3:16, That All Scripture... Is Usefull For Teaching. There Gotta Be A Teacher). About Your Chief Engineer, Dear, Don't You Worry, Because God Said Through Prophet Isaiah: "My Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts". Your Chief Engineer Is But A Man, He's Got The Right to Think As A Man. And I Think He's Right, Manly Speaking, Whereas He's Not, Godly Speaking. About Judas, The Bible Doesn't Say He Died Twice. There Again, You Need To Be Taught. There Are So Many Controversies In The Bilble That You Would Puzzle Your Brain If You Don't Find The Right Interpretation.

I've read the Bible cover-to-cover a couple of times. I never saw where it interpreted pi as anything at all, much less 3. I'd be interested in knowing where that is.
The Bible, and any other religious text, is proof of everything and nothing.
Proof is in the eye of the beholder--yes, even "empirical" proof. There are a thousand different ways in which to interpret "fact". It was accepted scientific fact not too long ago that the earth was flat. Not too long after that it was accepted scienfitic fact that protons, neutrons and electrons were the smallest particles in the universe.
Believe everything. Believe nothing.

religion was first created by people looking for answers/reasons for natural phenomenon and also because they could not comprehend nothing after death.
with that in mind, the bible was written by old testament (a lot of people), new testament, twelve men. it was then edited over the course of about 2000 years.
and if you look into how the bible gets put together/written, it makes you question it even more. the roman catholic bible is put together by the different books being submitted to a cannon. the pope of the time had final say and it took i think a hundred years to finally come up with the version now. there was a history channel special on it.
so based off all that, the bible is "the word of god, interpretted by man"

Tell Porky to read First Kings 7:23 to find the value of pi. She said she has read the Bible entirely more than once, but it looks as if she missed some things. Don't they all, except me? No one can refute what you said here. Such people as Porky try to pretend inconvenient parts of the Bible don't exist, and some offer overly-contrived explanations that collapse under the sheer weight of stupidity. Are there any true fundamentalists? They begin by saying every word in the Bible is literally true, but when you or I find it says pi is 3, they try to deny the Bible said it or more often offer elaborate excuses that contradict their first statement that it is all true literally. I agree with you here. I couldn't have said it better myself...could I?

I htink you have to learn the truth inside of you not from a book. My grandmother a devout christian always said it was the greatest novel ever writtten. Not one single original text from the bible is stil in existence today. Many things have been removed and added. It's often stories told by word of mankind. A lot of the stories are so far into the imagination that we know simply that muct not have happend. The bible is a regurgitation year after year generation after generation. Too many people twist and mold to what they want it to believe. Like I said believe in god because it's in your heart not because it's in a book.

The oral traditions of Jesus Christ factor into any interpretation of the Bible as well as the stances of the church. If one is Catholic or Baptist, there are additional traditions and beliefs in those sects to consider. The Nag Hammadi must also be considered along with the Gnosis.
