I don't have a problem with Foley having sex with consent either, but what are you considering "Normal?"

Considering the Culture, and the Era, and the Law, all things are relevant.
Yes, I was Molested and Raped, at an early age, by Law this was considered Wrong and Immoral, in other countries however, this act may have been considered "Right" and acceptable at one time.
Without Law, there would be Anarchy, and without Morality, there would be no Conscience and so on, and we have come a long way from the Roman Era....

I have no problem with Foley having sex with consenting adults. I understand that 16 is an age of consent in D.C. The problem I have is that if the Republicans hide for five years something allegedly so repugnent to themselves, then what else are they covering up.
I think Foley is a lot more respectable than Jessie Helms who had a child by an African American servant in his home. And did not acknowledge the relationship or child because of his racial prejudice.
He's a lot more moral than Duke Cunningham who took over 2 million dollars to swing war contracts to his campaign supporters.
The one thing Foley does show us is there is a place for gays in the GOP---in the closet.

The Romans felt nothing about crucifying innocents also. Why have times changed?

Children are too impressionable and naive because they havent learned much about human nature and what eventually will matter profoundly in their lives. To impress their psyche with any serious deeply psychological matters imprints their conciousness for life. That is why the rampant exibition of sex and crime on media is warping societies into a false sense of priorities and values about what mature responsible humanity is supposed to be.
