To my knowedge, your doctor is suppose to give you the "go ahead"
I recommend getting an appointment to be updated on your healing process. I have been to wait until stiches disolve and heal.
Also, you are still at risk of becoming pregnant again. I also recommend to be on the pill. If you are breastfeeding, there is other forms of pills specified for that.

you just had a baby a month ago . you are by no means ready for sex. you are no where near healed enough. its more than the outside that needs to heal. its 6 weeks. after your 6 week check up, you will get birth control then. dont do it. you are most probably still bleeding. dont that condom will irritate and hurt you more since your still very newly delivered. your insides are still sore dont do it too soon wait 6 weeks til the doctor tells you its ok / call and ask them if you dont believe us
ok i just realized i read your delivery date wrong disregard all i wrote. you can try not but use protection. we didnt wait 6 weeks either good luck and be slow and gentle it willhurt

Depending on what kind of work they did down there when you had him depends on when you can do it. the normal time it should take you is 3 months to properly heal. After you go in for your next check up your doctor should ask you what kind of birth control do you plan on using and weather or not you can or cant have sex. What i would do if you think that you are absolutly ready go ahead and do it. I mean me and my husband couldnt wait till the doctors appt. So we went ahead and did it anyways i was comfortable after 2 months it just depends on the person i guess. Hope you enjoy it. oh and im guessing that this is your first kid.

Depending on whether you tore or not... pretty much straight away. you can still fall pregnant in the first few months after having a baby regardless of some common myths, so make sure you're safe.

Wait till you get the stitches out and the doc says ok, usually they will tell you to wait 6 weeks.

6-9 weeks is the norm for healing but if you feel like you are no longer sore, then go for it!!! just be careful at first so you will know if it is going to hurt you or not...
