i want to share sify internet connection to my other three computers which are connected to my system through LAN

hey its so simple

download any proxy software

install it if u have one machine with internet & u want to share all machines with net proxy is used

before configure proxy first setup u r lan & check connectivity with all by "ping"command

just install this software
in other side machine's net setting/ lan setting give the machine's ip address in which the net is connected & proxy is loaded.

enable this software to get net in all all machines

Dude! It depends to what kind of proxy do you want to have? There are two kinds:
- Normal proxy
- Transparent proxy

The second one has the ability that can do its job transparently to the user and you should redirect traffic of your users (by a router or firewall rule) toward that machine. Then it will works fine for you.
Also ... the software and the platform that you want to use is important too! For example, if you want to use proxy on Open Source operating systems like Linux or FreeBSD then I am suggesting you to use Squid. If the platform is Windows based there are a couple of programs for that, yet you can use squid on Windows too. Let me know if you have any question again.

you don't need to install, just need to get the settings from your internet service provider and key in the settings in internet explorer options
tools->internet options-->Connections-->Lan settings.

loook 4 analogue proxy on google.

read it download and use. its easy

i couldn't get microsoft ics to work with 2 network cards..and a wireless acess 802.112/b
