I have 6 kids of my own and the best gifts they all have given me were crafts they made at school or church .The ones I like the most are the christmas ornaments with their pictures on them with the year it was made. Some are christmas bulbs or just construction paper with picture and beads and glitter glue.It was just touching for me each time I got one.It meant so much to me.I put them on my tree to this day and still love them.I have one my daughter now 21 made me when she was 4, I put it on the tree every year.To look at her picture and see how small she was! Then I look at the work she put into her craft that she made at the age of 4 it is so cute. The best gifts I have ever gotten!

A fun one with teens it to make a winter scene inside a mason jar (or any jar, mayo jars work well too) and top it with a votive candle in votive cup.
There are all sorts of fun miniature Christmas scenery with all of the lighted Christmas Villages at allot of stores, including dollar stores. Miniature trees, people, sleds, animals, snowmen, etc. that would all fit nice inside a jar. Put some bagged snow flakes or batting in first. Then just find votive cups that fit the top of the jars, add candle and some raffia or ribbon tied around and viola! A great gift for yourself or someone else.

Buy some pine cones, a bag of bird seed, a jar of peanut butter, a small spool of red ribbon...............tie ribon near the top of the cone for hanging on a tree outside............Spread peanut butter thinly all over the cone...........take the peanut butter cone now and lay in bag of seeds, roll around......bring up and with one hand press seeds around cone...........Wa - La ! Hang outside and the birds will love you all for this! (may need plastic sandwich bags too to place cone in to take home )
OOOORRRRRR...........You could have everyone pay you $3.00, go to a craft store, purchase styrofoam balls, glue, paper plates,
colored confetti, or other decorative materials , so many to look at and choose, a box of round tooth picks, buy at least 3 different choices to put on a ball permanent black marker to mark the year on the bottom of each ball( first.) When back in class, put glue on plate(quarter in size) can always add more later if needed..........Have colored confetti on 1 plate per table and the other two decorative materials also per table.....(3) plates per table to work from....Have fun......Everyone make their own ornament to take home,,,,

My daughters made these for their teachers one year. They cost a little but they are beautiful. Time=15 minutes. You will need Styrofoam canes, red chenille, white chenille, pins and ribbon. They used big fluffy chenille and the cane was about 14inches long. Start by pinning the ends of both chenille's to the bottom and start winding until you get to the other end,cut and pin.Add ribbon. They also added little pine cones. They teachers put them on their classroom doors.

I like doing plastic canvas!!! Go to michaels and get the long sheets of them, then cut out the patterns of things you want to make and then use yard to fill them in. What I would do is buy a couple of plastic canvas books with patterns of things that they can make. Crosses and kleenex box covers are really easy to make. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
