We planned my daughter's wedding in 2 weeks with no money. Here's what we did. We called all the family and friends and told them what we wanted to do -- which was give her a dream wedding with little/no budget. Everyone had a part. One volunteered to make the dress as her GIFT to the couple, one did flowers, one did cake, etc. One cousin even paid for the marriage license as his gift to the couple.

Each of these acts was that person's wedding gift, rather than buying a toaster or set of towels or whatever.

It made the wedding very special because it was "sponsored" by those who loved her.

If you want a huge wedding, then you can't do that with no money. If you don;t mind being married by the justice of the peace or with a very small ceremony it is possible. You just need to budget wisely and save a portion of your income for the wedding. I am sure there are people that have planned weddings in 15minutes so most likely also 4 months. It all depends on what your idea of a wedding is.

Yes and it could not have been done without A LOT OF HELP! Lucky for me, my 4 sisters and Mom took over. I got engaged February 15 and was married May 7, so that is less time than what you have. We were going to elope or wait a year but can you imagine trying to tell that to 5 women who've waited years for this day, plus 20 female co-workers and countless friends? Basically, everyone stepped in to help. I had "the eBay wedding." We asked that the budget stay under $1500. We spent almost twice that but you really could not tell that the wedding didn't cost $30,000. Don't go to the bridal boutique for your stuff, the prices are outrageous but the inspiration is good. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do. Really shop around a lot, ask people, tell EVERYONE and tell them you're planning... there are many people who got married on no budget and did it nicely. http://www.theknot.com has ideas according to budgets. Also, try http://www.ebay.com .
Best wishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are two Questions here & I believe you are just asking about, not wanting to get married? so from that angle, the answer to the first part is, done it in 3months, the second part at the time we did it on a limited budget & had an incredible amount of support which helped. There are ways & means providing you have the cost of the license the rest just falls into place you would be surprised so sit down & think about what you need & what you can do without.

Depending on the type of marriage. If you want a lavish one, well you can't have one without money. Try court marriages. Am planning mine in just a few mths. Haven't decided exactly when but asap depending on my finance. Am from Mauritius & from a hindu family. Indians marriages cost more than anything. The wedding last for at least 3 days. Jewelleries, bridal dresses, gifts,
etc. There's a lot of expenditure. After the marriage, u r almost bankrupt. But for me, my marriage wouldn't be one if isn't done traditionally.

I haven't planned a wedding, A friend of mine got married 2yrs ago and her wedding cost about $500. Instead of presants, she got a few of her wedding guests, family and herself to make all the flower arrangements and table decorations and cake by buying everything in bulk from cheaper stores and buying from the internet...
