In the morning, I start the car fine. I get to work which is about 15 miles with no problem. Once I turn the car off and attempt to restart it... It makes a choking sound as if it was having a problem turning over? I need some advise.

I had some suggestions, yet then found out you have an older Cadillac with distributor and rotor... I had 1989 1998 and 2002 Cadillac Deville's... besides this is what I advise... a million) while the vehicle does not initiate, pull a spark plug cord and see if there is spark. If not, then examine the coil. or a minimum of the cable that is going to the distributor cap. you understand it may't be each and every of the spark plugs, or each and every of the wires.. it must be one element inflicting a substantial commencing undertaking. 2) some autos have gas rigidity regulator this is tough to initiate if the diaphragm is cracked. i don't understand approximately your automobile, yet while it has one with a vacuum hose, then pull the hose off and see in case you scent or see gas interior the hose. in case you do, replace the regulator. 3) once you have worry commencing it, attempt pressing down on the gas some million/4 or a million/2 way down and carry the gas pedal there (do not permit it lower back up). Then initiate the vehicle, it might take a pair of tries. If the engine starts off ( or a minimum of coughs), then you definately've a idle administration motor situation (I doubt you have a idle administration valve), TPS situation, or the throttle physique must be wiped sparkling of gunk that is preserving the butterfly valve open, etc... 4) attempt checking the gas pump relay... they have a tendency to bypass undesirable while commencing (not while working). 5) there may be a average loose cord connection that impact the commencing that could open while warm and closed while cool. examine lower back the battery cables, cable to the starter, floor cable to the engine, etc...( style of not likely, yet would not harm to envision). 6) final yet not least... examine for cracked vacuum hoses... I had a number of human beings who did countless extraordinary issues in keeping with which hose it became... good success... playstation ... be at liberty to touch me in case you prefer. I extremely have labored on 3 Cadillac's I extremely have owned and 3 older Buicks ( 1980, 1985, 1994) All interior the final autos family individuals...

try running a diagnostics test, could possibly be your main air flow sensor or line, carburetor, I mean theres lot s of possibilities but you should definitley get a diagnostic test ran on it by a autozone or somewhere like that there usally free. I'd do that before I went out and bought a bunch of new parts you don't need!
