2 years after leaving my husband, whom I have 2 children with, he told me that he and my bestfriend had sex twice during our relationship. Once while I was pregnant with our first child, and again sometime before our second child. I have moved on from him for a while now, but losing my bestfriend still hurts. Sometimes I miss her so much. She says that he lied to hurt me, but something in my heart tells me its true. I know them both too well. She has been my bestfriend and sister for over 12 years. Would it be a horrible mistake to make up with her? should I waste my time?

yes it would be a mistake to make up with your ex-best friend. can you see that she was jealous of what you had. no true best friend/sister would betrayed her best friend and continue to look at her eyes like thing happen. of course your going to miss her dearly, but with time you will forget her like you have your ex-husband. and look at it this way what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. so there.

Wow, that's a tough one. And it's really a judgement call. I had the same sort of experience, and I did miss my friend for a very long time. I never made up with her because during my divorce with my x husband, she did some terrible things. I just couldn't forgive her and to this day I feel the same. It's been about 9 years now. I'd say that if you're the type of person who can forgive easily, then do it. But you may always have something in the back of your mind that says not to trust her. It's all up to you. Good luck !

You should make up with your friend and explain her how hard it has been for you to have lost her precious friendship during these years. An open, sincere and truthfull conversation, in which you both open your heart to each other, in total trust, would make wonders to your friendship. Even if she made a mistake you should forgive her. The past is gone, the future is uncertain, but you only have the present in its full reality. In order to live that present, you have to do it in a spirit of trust and love. This will liberate both of you - and your friendship will grow strong.

Depends if you believe your husband or your best friend....who do you think would lie to you more? Besides if she did have sex with your husband while you were married, she's not really your best friend is she? Better to leave them both.

i have almost the same experience w/ one of my bestfriends during college., she slept w/ my bf that time and never admit it., i thought i could never forgive her but after 2 long years i did. we never talk about it or even think about the past. i guess it depends on you., if you can face her up and still make friends w/ her. they didnt make it though., my ex bf married somebody else and they fought.

like you said..you've move on from your ex-husband, i suggest you do the same thing with your ex-best friend. people like that has no respect for you, why would you want to hang around with people like that? i thought best friends means that you guys can trust each other and rely on each other, is it not? i mean what kind of best friend would sleep with her husband when she's pregnant for gods sakes? if i were you, i would of cut off your husband's balls and tried to run over your so called best friend. that's just me thou. i'd hate anyone who makes the mistake of crossing me coz they wouldn't know what hit them.

nope, she's not your friend.

Life isn't always about sunshine and rainbows, "stuff" happens, we got to roll with the punches, learn the needed lesson and move on. Sounds like your former BFF a sucky human being, much like your X.

good luck
