I have 14 month old twin boys, and they slept together for four months. My one twin was born with a disability so they were apart for 14 days while the one was in the hospital. The one at home was very agitated all the time. The day I brought Noah home I laid him in the crib next to Elijah, positioned the same way they were in the womb. It was like watching an act of God, Noah who had been recovering from brain surgery and Elijah turned on their sides to face each other and they smiled. It was like watching angels smile. Then they grasped each others hand and fell asleep. It was the first time Elijah really seemed content. A week later, Noah who was unable to suckle begin eating on his own. I fully believe in the twin connection, and would recommend you sleep your twins together. I did alot of research before I made the decision and I discussed it at length with my pediatrician. Together we had decided that is was the right thing. Once they started rolling over we moved them to separate cribs. If your husband is really concerned, I saw a crib divider in a magazine while I was pregnant. It basically divided the crib in two, for twins.

I have eight month twin boys and they slept better when they were together for the first three months or so. It was even recommended by our Dr. to have them sleep together at first. They feel secure with their brother right there. Then they slept in separate cribs but make sure you put the cribs where they can see each other. Twins are unique with each other. They need to be separate but also have that closeness.
Good Luck! They are a blessing!

I have 8 month old boy/girl twins they slept in separate incubators in the NICU my son for 10 weeks my daughter for 13 weeks they were born 12 weeks early and my daughter had a hole in her heart. when I finally got to bring them both home they slept together for about 2 months(they were about five months old at this time) until my daughter started moving around allot we would find on top of her brother sucking on his face! I decided that wasn't safe so now they sleep in separate cribs right next to each-other they hold hands through the bars very cute! Good luck with your new twin boys! God bless you twinfants are really a special gift.

Try letting them lay together for naps while you are watching them. Let them spend a lot of time lying next to each other when they are not sleeping.
I think that seperating them completely at birth for sleeping would be hard for them, so I would keep them together for a week or so and gradually seperate them.
Maybe you could ask the hospital when they are born. When they are at the hospital then they will be in bassinets in the best way for them, so if they are put seperatly there then that is probably best, but if they are put together then that may be okay too. Ask a pediatrition.

My twins (a boy and a girl) slept in the same crib until they were 5 months old.
In the first month, I put a bolster pillow between them and swaddled each. On the second month, I replaced the swaddle with those baby positioning cushions which prevent them from rolling over in their sleep.
By 5 months, they really couldn't fit in one crib anymore.
Hope this helps

Hello,
My twin girls were born preemies and in the hospital they slept in the same incubator for their second and last week there.
When they came home, we just had one crib and they slept in the same crib for 4 months. But, they were swaddled because it recreated the feeling they were in the womb. Also, they always had binkies in their mouths and I think this is supposed to cut down on S.I.D.S. I could be wrong, but my twins had binkies in their mouth since before leaving the hospital.
Once the swaddling days were over, at 5 months, we purchased another crib and seperated them.
Hope this helps you some.

Your boys should be put in separate cribs from birth. Both will be little and they need space of their own, don't crowd them. Like you said they have been together for 9 months, now they need stretching room.
Good Luck

Have them sleep separately, or they will have a hard time learning to be apart. Hubby's a twin...
