I'm open to hearing some ideas about what to do with my money. I need a business I can start from scratch with 30k. I have no other collateral.

not too sure about how that would work out, you might be better off finding a job for now, invest what you have and maybe save some more before starting your own business.

Look at income producing real estate. It appreciates in value and, if rented produces income. The payments are paid by the rental income and the excess is income to you. You get the depreciation benefits and more. Your down payment qualifies you for a duplex or tri-plex in a lot of areas.

You can get a Jackson Hewitt Tax Service franchise territory for 10K down....its a great opportunity....I would look at other franchise opportunities too, see if there is a franchise fair in your area.
