depending on her age and how many times this has happened. If it's the first time i wouldn't go too hard If she's pre-teens to early teens for sure get rid of the chat rooms. if it happens again after that extend the punishment by 1 day each time
and make her polish all the shoes in the house

wow....I didn't know people did that anymore. Well, without more information, I really kind of think its weird. To help you with an answer since it is one of your house rules and assuming she knows she must do this periodically then I think the discipline should be something that would get her attention the most. What seems to be the most important thing to her? Take that away. Or make her shine everyone elses shoes because she failed to shine hers when she was told.

Very harsh punishment will effect ur daughter.
She' still a small gyal I guess. Forgetting is nature. Its not a crime. Just don't let her to watch TV after 6 for 2 days. She will be ok.

well now... That all depends on how often she has to do it... if she constantly is forgetting then tell her for every time she forgets it she looses all electronics, friends, and no desert for a week. If she sometimes forgets then go mild. Tell her no chatting on the computer and no friends and tell her ull look at the history of any chatting lines that were on there cuzz theres one way to do it even when she deletes the history.

I take it that it is not important about the shoes what is important is the forgetting????I have a child that forgets a lot and I really get pissed when she forgets simple things...take away the computer chat...that way every time she says she wants to chat u can remind her why not forgetting is important to you.

Take away her computer. The whole thing, not just her chat group access. But ask her why she forgot, if she was busy due to school work or other chores, let it slide, but if she was chatting or goofing off, deal out the punishment.

Who shines shoes anymore? I guess you do. There is not enough information in this question to answer. How old is she? Is she in a private school? Why does she need to shine her shoes?

Why does your daughter need to shine her shoes? And how old is she? Did you put her in military school? Is she supposed to shine her shoes for church? Are shoes really that serious that they warrant punishment?
