The prostate produces some of the fluid medium in which the spermatozoa are ejaculated at orgasm. It also is involved in the contractions which expel the fluid at that time. Removal is sometimes indicated where malignant disease is present, although there are alternative courses of treatment. A prostatectomy can cause impotence and incontinence. If the operation is performed by a suitably skilled urologist, the posterior and anterior nerve bundles can frequently be spared when the gland is removed, allowing continued sexual function, including erection and orgasm, albeit with possible assistance from medication (either oral or inracavernous) However, you will not ejaculate any fluid when you reach orgasm. Similarly, incontinence can be avoided by good surgery. If you need a radical prostatectomy, take the time to find the best urologist available and talk to him/her about your fears/wishes. The whole thing can be traumatic, but life afterwards can be "Normal" in just about every way.

The prostate Gland is Vital to Everyday Life!
Some Medics advocate the removal when it becomes cancerous!
(Which causes Incontinence and Erectile Dis function-For Ever!)

However there is a New Treatment for Prostrate cancer- it's the Implantation of a radioactive Pellet within the Prostrate.
This Controls and holds the Symptoms at bay.

This is a Male Only problem and Normally begins to Deteriorate from the age of 40 Onwards-Regular tests of PSA levels will determine what state the Prostrate is in!(*)

The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male mammalian reproductive system. Its main function is to store and secrete a clear, slightly basic fluid that constitutes up to one-third of the volume of semen.

The two major problems experienced by men after prostatectomy (removal of the prostrate gland) are:

Incontinence (an inability to control urination)

Impotence (an inability to achieve an erection)

Both of these problems may be temporary and may go away with time. Effective treatments are available to help both incontinence and impotence.

whether or not your sexual function is effected all depends on the person. if you need to have this procedure done-check with your doctor about all possible side effects and ways to treat them

This is one of many good questions that I would like explained. You know, if a woman is raped and caught in the act, or later accused, and the rape was not observed by 4 witnesses, then obviously, she cannot prove her innocence. Therefore, she falls at the hands of Sharia Law judgments. Even in America, a woman goes to trial and must prove her innocence against the charge of rape, without witnesses. Most cases are resolved in a sane manner without automatically faulting the woman. When I lived in Dubai, Sharia Law was used in the case of a Indonesian woman whom was caught committing zina. The original sentence was stoning to death. This was in 2006. I was new there, and shocked at the barbaric judgment. She was later given 100 lashes and and something like 3 years in jail and then deported forever. This case was not proposed as rape, but worth mentioning to see the type of judgments, that can be given under these laws, and since rape, adultry and consenting zina can all be judged by Sharia law. Dubai is even quite Western, but in Saudi, she would be dead. DEAD. One of the tragedies, is the employers (owners of the Indonesian slaves, whom they possess with their right hand) of many Indonesian women, are mistreated and abused. Including being forced or convinced to have sexual relations with them and other men. In Kuwait and the UAE, I personally knew and saw first hand verbal and physical abuse toward Philippino or Indo maids. This is nothing compared to how much they make them work, and how little they get paid from these wealthy "owners". IF ANYONE denies this practice is NOT happening, as they will be judged, they are not being honest. IT IS HAPPENING. It is a crime agaisnt humanity, but with Shari Law, what person will investigate and make public these heinous crimes, with the intent of eliminating them? Sadly, no one. The repercusions are far too great. Now to your question: (And I am sorry if I got off subject) With this law, and the conditions of witnesses (NOT going to be available for this woman) she will be found guilty. How right is this? Not at all right. Not at all. This is the Islam that I resist and will not be able to ever accept. This question, and many other things, that make no sense to me or my soul, under the mercy of God... cannot be answered to my satisfaction by even the best scholar. Most Muslims, not all, but most, will support it and the hadiths, for no other reason than they were taught that they must believe and accept it, without intellectual inquiries, or compassionate concerns. Not right. Just not right. Your comment includes a point that I stand firmly on: Historical content. Meaning history. Meaning 1430 years. Meaning things were "just a little different" then. Meaning the "content" was written and meant for "those times". Meaning to me....I don't buy into it, and never will. I really think some of it, is complete craziness, and I for one, do not think that Allah is pleased with SOME of the ways man has interpreted and applies Islamic rulings and hadiths in today's world. That's just me. If I am wrong, may I be forgiven.

The function is to produce the nutritive & safe fluid for sperm to be active, agile & alive when it is deposited on the wall of vagina, before its journey through uterus to its destination. Removal of Prostrate will reduce the level of active sex but will not totally remove the desire.
