I had a high risk pregnancy. I had one of the top OB Dr.s in the mid west and he prescribed darvacet for my sever back pain. It is considered a class C medication but make sure she checks with her Dr. he or she needs to know everything that she is taking.

Real pain can be treated with narcotics during pregnancy, but should not be abused. The first tri-mester and the last month, however, should be as drug free as possible. Everything ingested by the mother, is also given to the baby. The infant could be born dependant on narcotics and go though a withdrawl, not pleasant, to say the least.

The only drug besides prenatal vitamins that any
Dr. would recommend is Tylenol. and now they are having reservations about that since if it's not taken properly it Will cause liver damage.
