What exactly is Blogging and how do you do it? Is there any specific benefit from it?

blogging is an internet term that refers to the process of keeping an online journal. You can go to a number of websites that offer free blogs to you and you write down your thoughts and opinions etc.
It's benefit derives from the fact that it is cathartic to the blogger.

Blogging is the act of writing a Blog. A Blog is a bit like an internet-based diary, but is usually open to public viewing. It can be based on any subject at all, and can be written by anyone.
There are many ways to actually do it, ranging from using a blog that comes as part of your membership somewhere (such as on Live Spaces), to making your own website and writing about whatever you like.

Blogging is the digital equivalent of keeping a personal diary (that ends up getting read by loads of friends).
In a blog you jot your raves-rants online in a site of your own and leave it to the general public to discover it. Like minded people will eventually contact you and you may have a social network on the Internet.

In a nutshell, it's nothing more than a electronic printed media like a magazine or a news paper for people that are good in writing and for those who have something to offer to the public either for nothing or for a buck.
And yes, you can create your own! just go to yahoo search and type "blogging" you will learn much more about it and with details!

a WEB BLOG or BLOG is a personal journal for all to see online! my space is the most common blog site and is fairly straight foward it explains itself in great detail check it out.
