because if theres any air pockets over time your glue will weaken and crumble leaving u with a cpu chip that needs glue. Personally.... I put some of that gorilla glue in there and it works perfectly. its a thick paste so it wont create air pockets and last's for like ever. then again I have also been building myself gaming computers for like 4 years now so I know all the tricks to computers:]

Go to your manual and look in the specs of your machine. If you cannot find it there go to the Manufacturer's site and see if you can find it there, if it is not a proprietary spec. if you can't get any where, just ask them; they may tell you. I don't think so but it will not hurt to ask any way.
